I am a lifelong outdoor enthusiast who has had the privilege of enjoying my passions all over the world. From hiking with the Boy Scouts in the beautiful Southwest to deep sea fishing in the Gulf of Mexico or Puget Sound to hunting the beautiful fields of the Midwest, my interests in the outdoor pursuits run the gamut. Each activity provides a unique sense of joy that I hope to share with others.
I took my first Hunter’s Education course at age
eight in Washington State, and I have worked to use that training in all of my
pursuits. My first loves will always be the target shooting sports and ethical
hunting. I grew up with the understanding that safety with a firearm is far
more important than trophy animals, and hunters should both obey the laws of
the area in which they choose to hunt and adhere to ethical hunting practices.
I support the missions of the Ducks Unlimited brands
in their conservation efforts. I am a National Rifle Association life member,
and I am proud to be an Eagle Scout and an Order of the Arrow inductee. I have
served in the United States Army since 2005.
